NFL: Atlanta Falcons Give Drake London a Mega Contract

The Atlanta Falcons have given Drake London a contract extension that’s quite something. London has moved into the top 3 of the highest-paid wide receivers.

The Atlanta Falcons and wide receiver Drake London have agreed to a four-year, $141 million contract extension, including $100 million in guaranteed payments. London’s agent, Andrew Kessler, confirmed this to “ESPN.”

With bonus payments, the deal could even grow to as much as $150 million and keeps London with the Falcons through the 2030 season.

Falcons sign London: Only JSN and Chase are more expensive

The new contract makes London the third-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. Only Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($168.6 million) of the Seattle Seahawks and Ja’Marr Chase ($161 million) of the Cincinnati Bengals earn more.

The Falcons selected London with the eighth overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. In his first four seasons, he recorded 309 catches for 3,961 yards and 22 touchdowns.

London’s consistency is particularly noteworthy given the instability at the quarterback position. Over his four NFL seasons, London had four different starting quarterbacks in Week 1: Marcus Mariota, Desmond Ridder, Kirk Cousins, and Michael Penix Jr.—and still delivered year after year.
