If you look at the number of games in which each of the 32 NFL teams is the favorite in the upcoming season, the result is a rather unusual ranking.
In about three and a half months, the new NFL season kicks off with a rematch of last year’s Super Bowl between the champion Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots.
Both teams are at least among the extended circle of favorites, according to the bookmakers.
However, an unusual ranking emerges when you look at which team is favored in its respective games throughout the entire regular season. This measures not only the absolute strength of the teams but also the quality of their respective opponents.
