The Pittsburgh Steelers led the AFC North last NFL season with ten wins and seven losses and made the playoffs. Starting quarterback on the field: Aaron Rodgers.

Now the 42-year-old could add another year in Pittsburgh. As NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports, the franchise is meeting with the quarterback this weekend to negotiate a new contract.

According to the report, the previous offer was worth $15 million. The 2010 Super Bowl champion is said to have rejected it.

Rodgers heading into his 22nd NFL season?

Last season, Rodgers took the field 16 times and threw 24 touchdowns with seven interceptions. In total, he passed for 3,322 yards.

With another year in the NFL, Rodgers would be playing his 22nd season as an active player.
