NFL: Detroit Lions win offensive spectacle against Baltimore Ravens

The Detroit Lions won the conclusion of the third match day in an offensive spectacle. Thanks to an outstanding defense, the Lions won 38:30 against the Baltimore Ravens.

The Detroit Lions have made up for their botched start to the season. The Lions won a back-and-forth battle against the Baltimore Ravens 38-30. Quarterback Jared Goff played a near-flawless game, completing 20 of 28 passes and throwing no interceptions. He threw his only touchdown to Amon-Ra St. Brown, his leading receiver (77 yards).

The running game was also reminiscent of the best times of 2023: David Montgomery racked up 151 yards, Jahmyr Gibbs 67. Both were also delighted with two touchdowns each.

Lions defense terrorizes Lamar Jackson

However, the star of the evening was the defense: In addition to seven sacks on Lamar Jackson, they forced two fumbles, one of which was lost in the fourth quarter by Derrick Henry. He scored a touchdown, but was held to 57 total yards.

Statistically, Jackson had an outstanding game: he completed 21 of 27 passes for 288 yards and three touchdowns. On top of that, he added 35 rushing yards. However, there were moments that cost the Ravens the victory. The best receiver of the evening was Mark Andrews with 91 yards and two touchdowns, while Rashod Bateman also caught a touchdown (63 yards). In the end, it was the turnover that made the difference. The Lions will face the Cleveland Browns in Week 4, while the Baltimore Ravens will travel to Arrowhead Stadium to take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
