The Miami Dolphins have parted ways with NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. ahead of schedule. The 32-year-old wide receiver signed a one-year, three-million-dollar contract with the US football league franchise in May, but the 2022 Super Bowl champion missed the start of the season after knee surgery.
According to US media, the separation was amicable. Beckham recorded just nine catches and 55 yards in nine games for Miami.
Two years ago, Beckham played a crucial role in the Los Angeles Rams’ Super Bowl victory with a touchdown, but suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in the game itself, which forced him to sit out the entire following season. In 2023, the 31-year-old joined the Baltimore Ravens.
Beckham was selected by the New York Giants in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft and spent five seasons with the team, turning heads with his strong performances, including spectacular catches and his flamboyant style on and off the football field. He then played for the Cleveland Browns for three years before joining the Rams in 2021.
