Aaron Rodgers is currently dishing out a lot of praise. The star quarterback is also impressed by a young wide receiver
The New York Jets traded up in the draft to sign Malachi Corley in the third round. This was apparently entirely in the interests of their star quarterback, who has nothing but praise for the young receiver.
In an interview on the official “Jets Podcast”, Aaron Rodgers told Rich Cimini of “ESPN.com” that Malachi Corley was his “favorite receiver in the draft”. The 22-year-old was the twelfth receiver selected.
“He might not have been the best on paper,” Rodgers added: “But I really felt like he fit what we were trying to do – his attitude, his ferocity.”
According to “ESPN,” Corley totaled 2,070 yards after catch in his final three college seasons, nearly 400 yards more than the next-best player in the FBS (Football Bowl Subdivision). In that span, he forced 77 missed tackles, which ranked second in the college league.
