Super Bowl 59: Eight million for advertising spots

The Super Bowl LIX between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles will apparently bring the US broadcaster Fox record revenues. According to media reports, the 30-second commercials will cost up to eight million dollars when the National Football League (NFL) final is played at the Superdome in New Orleans on February 9. This would be an increase of one million dollars compared to last year, when the broadcaster was CBS.

At the Super Bowl, the advertising companies usually present extraordinary spots. This time, for example, a food company will advertise with a remake of a legendary scene from the movie “When Harry Met Sally” with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal: In the famous “Katz’ Deli” in New York, the actress fakes an orgasm.

Last year, an average of 123.4 million Americans watched the Chiefs’ victory over the San Francisco 49ers (25-22 in overtime) on CBS, the children’s channel Nickelodeon, the Spanish-language channel Univision and the streaming service Paramount+. Kansas City can become the first team to win the Vince Lombardi Trophy three times in a row this year.
