The Seattle Seahawks celebrated their Super Bowl victory exuberantly. So exuberantly, in fact, that linebacker Ernest Jones threw around F-bombs.
During the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl victory celebration, linebacker Ernest Jones did not mince words. On stage at the Trophy Celebration, the 26-year-old addressed a direct and unvarnished message to all NFL doubters and haters of the team. “I’m probably the last person they should give the microphone to,” Jones began his speech, well aware that his alcohol level was probably well above zero.
Then he made himself clear: “If you have something to say about my quarterback, something about my defense, something about our O-line or about the city of Seattle – then I have two words for you: Fuck you!”
Seattle Seahawks: Ernest Jones as Sam Darnold’s No. 1 defender
Jones was referring to the sometimes fierce criticism that quarterback Sam Darnold in particular had to endure during the season. After a weak game with four interceptions in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams, Jones had already publicly defended Darnold, using similarly strong words at the time.
The team then used the external skepticism as motivation. After the defeat in Week 11, the Seahawks did not lose a single game, confidently advanced to the playoffs, and crowned the season by winning Super Bowl LX. Darnold did not throw a single interception in the playoffs.
If you got anything to say about my QB
If you got anything to say about my defense
if you got anything to say about my OL
If you got anything to say about the city of Seattle
FUCK YOU

Jones, the former Rams and Titans player (2021 Super Bowl champion with Los Angeles), has become one of the emotional leaders of the defense in Seattle. Last season, he recorded an impressive 126 tackles and five interceptions.
During the parade, he repeatedly emphasized that the Seahawks not only had the best defense in the league, but were “the best team in the world.” He also wore a Johnny Cash-style T-shirt with an avatar showing a middle finger, which was supposed to represent Darnold.
