Many world music stars have already performed at the Super Bowl in the Halftime Show. But which artist will be on stage in 2025?
For many fans, the Super Bowl Halftime Show is just as important as the football game itself. All the world’s stars – from Michael Jackson to the Rolling Stones – have performed on stage during the interval of the NFL final. Usher last performed at Super Bowl LVIII in Nevada.
In previous years, Rihanna (2023) and the rappers Eminem, Dr. Dre, 50 Cent and Snopp Dogg (2022) put on a spectacular show. Some stars, such as Usher and Justin Timberlake, have even appeared twice in the Halftime Show. Here is a list of the halftime shows since 2000.
The NFL does not normally pay halftime show performers an appearance fee, but does cover all expenses for the performers and their entourage of band members, management, technical staff, security personnel, family and friends.
However, the top stars are happy to perform free of charge because the advertising effect is probably greater at no other event in the world than at the Super Bowl. In the past, CD sales skyrocketed afterwards, today it’s streaming views.
The next Super Bowl will take place on February 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. It is not yet known who will perform at halftime
