The 2023 Super Bowl is becoming the “Kelce Bowl.” Ahead of the game, Travis and Jason Kelce had their parents on their “New Heights” podcast to make exciting statements about their sons before the final game
Super Bowl 2023 isn’t just the final game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, it’s also the family duel that pits two brothers against each other: Eagles centre Jason Kelce and Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
This is why Super Bowl LVII also bears the unofficial title “Kelce Bowl”. No wonder, then, that the parents of the two stars have been thrust into the media spotlight.
In the run-up, mother Donna and father Ed were guests on the “New Heights” podcast, which the brothers host together.
Not surprisingly, both parents insisted they don’t favour either Super Bowl team and cheer for both equally.
Donna wants to Travis – Ed to the loser
And it looked different when Travis and Jason asked who they would go to first after the final whistle.
Donna wants to check on her younger son Travis first and had a good reason for that: “Jason will have his family on the field. So, no, I’m not going to look for Jason.”
Ed, on the other hand, will make his decision based on the outcome of the game and go to the loser first: “Someone’s going to feel pretty bad and I want to be there for him – at first.”
Despite all their sporting rivalry, the Kelces continue to stick together as a family.
