NFL – Halftime show at the 2026 Super Bowl: Will a mega trio perform?

While NFL teams are preparing for the new season, the upcoming Super Bowl is already casting its shadow. Now there are spectacular rumors surrounding the halftime show.

There are still a few weeks to go until the start of the 2025 NFL season. But the closer the official start of the season gets, the more relevant the upcoming Super Bowl becomes. On February 8, 2026 (local time), it will take place at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, home of the San Francisco 49ers.

And as always when it comes to the Super Bowl, the question naturally arises as to which stars will perform during the halftime show. The decision has not yet been officially announced. However, “Bild” is now reporting on a spectacular plan that is said to have emerged as the favorite solution.

According to the report, a trio consisting of Dua Lipa, Sabrina Carpenter, and Chappell Roan is in talks to perform the halftime show. The three artists are currently among the world’s best-known and most popular singers. Three women headlining the halftime show would be a first in Super Bowl history.

NFL apparently wants a woman for the halftime show

However, according to the tabloid report, there are “still many hurdles to overcome” before a possible confirmation. The production company behind the halftime show, Roc Nation, is also in talks with other artists, along with sponsor Apple Music.

However, the NFL considers it important that at least one woman be part of the main program during the halftime break of the big final game in 2026. Kendrick Lamar was responsible for the show in 2025, and Usher was responsible the year before. The last woman to headline was Rihanna in 2023.

The halftime show of Super Bowl 50, which also took place in Santa Clara, was also led by a trio. At that time, it was Coldplay, Bruno Mars, and Beyoncé.
