Jadeveon Clowney has a lot of plans with the Cleveland Browns. Like winning the Super Bowl, for one. He thinks the team has a shot at the big time in the new season.
Munich – Jadeveon Clowney recently signed a new one-year contract with the Cleveland Browns – for good reasons. Because for the edge rusher, the Browns are among the contenders for the Super Bowl.
“I just want to win the Super Bowl,” Clowney told the Browns’ website, “I think we have a shot at it.”
The reasons: a combination of last year’s squad and reinforcements such as quarterback Deshaun Watson and wide receiver Amari Cooper.
“We had a great defence last year. We brought in some more key players on offense and defense, and I think we have a chance. I know what we can accomplish together, and I hope we can take the next step forward and get to where we want to be,” Clowney said.
Jadeveon Clowney: Starting at OTAs
The 29-year-old last took part in the Organised Team Activities (OTAs). Not necessarily usual for a seasoned player.
But there were good reasons for that, too. “I missed the guys and told the guys that I enjoy this role. It’s exciting for me to be here, to play with the guys and spend some time with them,” Clowney said.
