Just a few months ago, Tom Brady signed a huge TV deal with “FOX Sports”. Rumors that he might reconsider his commitment, the quarterback now comments with clear words.

Clear statement from Tom Brady. The most successful quarterback in NFL history has made it clear in just two words that the rumors that he might reconsider his television career after the end of his active career are not true.

Brady publicly commented on a “Sports Illustrated” post reporting on a “New York Post” article to that effect, saying “FakeNews.”

NFL insider Andrew Marchland of the “New York Post” had previously written that the chances are currently at 51 percent that Brady still makes a withdrawal from his mega TV deal with “Fox Sports” over ten years and 375 million U.S. dollars.

Tom Brady wants to spend more time with family

According to Marchland, the potential travel hassles in particular should make Brady shy away from the TV commitment. So he is a “notoriously dedicated person” who only does something if he really stands behind it 100 percent.

Accordingly, the 45-year-old would likely be “present early and committed throughout the four-day event.”

However, Brady, who has shared custody with Gisele Bündchen of their two children together, Vivian Lake, 8, and Benjamin, 11, announced earlier after his career ended that he wanted to spend more time with his family.

NFL comeback seems unlikely

The news of a possible TV retirement had already caused wild speculation in the US.

Some even speculated, more or less seriously, that the seven-time Super Bowl winner might seek a comeback on the field.

Only recently heated up the speculation about another comeback in the NFL with the Miami Dolphins, after Brady had commented cryptically on corresponding comeback rumors.

“I can say that now that I’m not affiliated with any team, although I have strong ties to some teams, I have some friends on the Dolphins that I really like. I wouldn’t necessarily say I’m always rooting for them, but I’m rooting for my friends to do well, and some of them play for Miami, so …,” the 45-year-old explained during the “eMerge Americas Tech Conference.”

With his comment, Brady should now have put all speculation to rest.
