The Seattle Seahawks are promoting former quarterback Austin Davis to new quarterback coach. At 30 years old, he is younger than Russell Wilson – whom he is to coach.
The Seattle Seahwaks have a new old face on the coaching staff. Head coach Pete Carroll promoted 30-year-old Austin Davis from offensive assistant to quarterback coach.
At 30, Davis is not only the youngest quarterback coach in the league, but also one year younger than franchise quarterback Russell Wilson, whom he will coach in the future.
Davis was already active as a backup in Seattle behind Wilson in 2017 and returned to his old place of work after a year with the Tennessee Titans before last season.
As quarterback coach, Davis replaces Dave Carnales, who was promoted to Passing Game Coordinator.
