NFL: Marshawn Kneeland believed to have committed suicide
As the police have now confirmed, Kneeland is believed to have committed suicide.
The police report states that Kneeland was involved in a car chase with a patrol car on Wednesday evening. The report does not indicate why the chase occurred. Kneeland’s vehicle crashed on a highway in Dallas. According to the report, Kneeland then fled the scene of the accident on foot, and officers searched the area with the assistance of canine and drone units.
About three hours later, Kneeland was found with what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound. During the search, officers received information that Kneeland had “expressed suicidal intent.”
