Daniel Snyder, the owner of the NFL team Washington Commanders, is facing several harsh accusations. Now he’s going on the offensive, lamenting a campaign against himself and his family
Washington – Daniel Snyder and the Washington Commanders have not been able to rest for months.
Because of the bad work culture and several cases of sexual harassment and insult, the franchise was already fined ten million US dollars in the summer of 2021.
The “House of Committee on Oversight and Reform”, the most important investigative committee of the US House of Representatives, also accuses the club in a letter to the “Federal Trade Commission” of having embezzled funds.
Daniel Snyder complains of “deceptions, innuendos and half-truths “
Commanders owner Snyder now apparently sees himself in the victim role. His lawyers sent a nine-page letter to the committee making harsh allegations.
According to a report by “Pro Football Talk”, it states, among other things: “From the beginning, the committee has been driven by one goal – to destroy Dan Snyder and his family and to use deception, innuendo and half-truths to try to drive him out of the National Football League. This investigation is consistent with the lowest form of politics, and its sole purpose is personal destruction.”
Ex-President Bruce Allen is accused of
The blame for the Commanders incidents is being placed on former team president Bruce Allen, who was in charge of the franchise from the US capital until the end of 2019.
“It is widely acknowledged that the most important step the team took to remedy its toxic workplace was to rid itself of Mr Allen,” the letter said. “The fraternity house culture that Mr Allen instilled in the Commanders organisation is the primary reason that the Commanders were investigated in the first place. “
