Washington Commanders: New mascot “Major Tuddy” unveiled

The Washington Commanders have unveiled their new mascot: Major Tuddy. After the rebranding about a year ago, the Commanders had been without a mascot

For a long time, the Washington Commanders had been without a mascot. After dropping the name “Redskins” in July 2020 and replacing it with “Football Team” in the meantime, the team from the US capital had no mascot.

That changed at the game against the Cleveland Browns.

There, the Commanders’ new mascot was unveiled: Major Tuddy.

The design is based on a species of pig native to the state of Maryland.
