Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Tom Brady: Insiders believe in retirement.

Tom Brady is currently playing his 23rd season in the NFL. Whether there will be a 24th is completely unclear at the moment. With the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the “GOAT” could miss the playoffs and the 45-year-old’s personal performances are average at best. The current season could be his last, insiders believe.

Munich – Tom Brady could miss the playoffs with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. With only six wins and seven losses, the “Bucs” are in first place in the NFC South, but the Carolina Panthers, who are behind Brady and Co. with five wins and eight losses, could still challenge the Buccaneers for the top spot.

Statistically, too, the “GOAT” is playing one of his worst seasons in years. After his retirement last February and his change of heart a few weeks later, however, it is clear that the quarterback’s career is in the home stretch.

It is still unclear, however, when Brady will hang up his helmet for good. After the current season, the now 45-year-old will become a free agent and could leave the “Bucs” and join any other team. In recent weeks and months, there have been several speculations about a move to his native San Francisco or a return to the New England Patriots.

Tom Brady: return home or to the Patriots?

Now Mike Jones of “The Athletic” reports that “a majority of insiders believe” Brady will indeed retire at the end of the season.

However, this report again clashes with statements from Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, who stated that “Brady feels well enough to continue playing”. According to this, he is said to be keeping all options open.

Given the state of the Buccaneers’ roster and the fact that the franchise is already $40 million over the salary cap for the 2023 season, it seems unlikely that Brady will return to the team next season if he continues to play.

Until then, NFL fans around the world will have to wait. The seven-time Super Bowl winner is unlikely to make a decision until next offseason.
