Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Todd Bowles completely loses his temper after defeat to Atlanta Falcons

After the entirely avoidable defeat to the Atlanta Falcons, the usually level-headed Todd Bowles was furious. And the Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach made sure everyone knew it.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have squandered a huge opportunity.

They suffered a stupid, avoidable, and painful 28-29 defeat against the Atlanta Falcons in the NFL. Reason enough for head coach Todd Bowles to verbally slam his fist on the table.

And not internally in the locker room, but in front of reporters at the podium.

Bowles angry: “That’s inexcusable”

When asked what he had said to the team in the locker room, the normally calm coach was moved to an angry outburst. “That’s inexcusable. This shit has to hurt, damn it. It has to mean something to you, damn it.”

Bowles used the F-word several times in his speech. “It’s more than your damn job, it’s your damn livelihood. You can’t sugarcoat this shit anymore. It was damn inexcusable. That’s what you tell them in the locker room. Look in the damn mirror.”

The Bucs led by two scores at one point before the Falcons staged their comeback. Baker Mayfield helped them along with an interception in the fourth quarter. “Say what you want, but in the end, it always comes back to me. It’s my fault. You can’t cause a turnover like that. That’s going to haunt me for a long time,” he said after the game.

The loss means the Carolina Panthers have now overtaken the Bucs and could move to 8-6 on Sunday, while the Bucs are at 7-7. The two teams will face off in Week 16.
