Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Tight End Rob Gronkowski Doesn’t Feel Ready to Return to the Field

Tight End Rob Gronkowski again speaks out about a possible comeback and says he will take a little more time with his decision.

Munich/Tampa Bay – Will Rob Gronkowski return to the football field for the 2022 season?

The tight end has not yet made a decision regarding his future, as he confirmed in an interview with “TMZ Sports”.

Buccaneers: Gronkowski “not ready yet “

“As of right now, I don’t feel ready to be back on the field. I can’t commit to football right now,” the 32-year-old said, adding, “Even in your thirties, you can’t just slack off and only be 50 percent because then the game will catch you off guard and it will just spit you out.”

Just recently, the congenial partner of quarterback Tom Brady stated that the chances of him making an NFL return were 50 per cent. However, should he decide to do so, he would only play with Brady.

Gronkowski would have expected Brady to retire

Meanwhile, Gronkowski was surprised by Brady’s about-face, announcing his retirement just over a month into his career.

“I knew he was going to come back. But I didn’t think it would be this year, to be honest. I thought he would return in a year and spend some time with the family,” the five-time Pro Bowler shared.

2021 Gronkowski caught 55 passes for 802 yards and six touchdowns, but was defeated by the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round with his Bucs.
