Seattle Seahawks: Russell Wilson gives fans comeback hopes

Good news from Russell Wilson: The Seattle Seahawks quarterback has had a pin removed from his surgically repaired finger. That brings the playmaker’s comeback closer.

Munich – Seattle Seahawks fans can continue to hope that Russell Wilson will be fit again in time for the top game at the Green Bay Packers.

Small pin, big impact: as the quarterback shared on social media, the pin that was responsible for stabilising his surgically repaired finger has been taken out.

“No more pin. Time to win,” wrote Wilson, who suffered the finger injury in Week 5 and had missed since. In that time, the Seahawks had won one game and lost two with backup Geno Smith. The Hawks are currently in last place in the NFC West with a 3-5 record.

Initially, Seattle had expected to rest six to eight weeks, but it could be that Wilson returns to the field after the Seahawks’ bye week in Week 10. That’s when the Hawks play at the Green Bay Packers.

“Hoping for the best for his return “

“We’re just hoping for the best for his return, that everything goes well and we get him in the mode where he starts using his hand and his fingers with the football,” coach Pete Carroll said.

“We just have to do a good job and see what happens.” Reportedly, the finger will need to heal for a few days after the pin is removed before Wilson can practice with the ball again.
