Quarterback Russell Wilson’s future with the Seattle Seahawks remains uncertain. At the press conference ahead of the Week 17 clash against the Detroit Lions, the 33-year-old gave an insight into his state of mind.
Munich/Seattle – The Russell Wilson era with the Seattle Seahawks could be coming to an end. For months, there has been speculation about the quarterback’s departure, and with the end of the season in sight, Wilson is speaking openly about his future.
Before Game 17 and the duel against the Detroit Lions, Wilson said at the press conference: “I hope it won’t be my last home game. At the same time, I know it won’t be my last game in the NFL.”
Sportingly, there is not much at stake for the “Hawks” anymore. The playoffs are out of reach for the first time since 2017 and a shake-up around the team and coaching staff could be imminent.
In a current season overshadowed by injuries, Wilson amassed 2,639 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions.
