Seattle Seahawks: Quarterback prospect Jalen Milroe gives first insights into training

Rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe and his new team, the Seattle Seahawks, have completed their first training sessions together. The youngster shared his impressions in an interview.

The NFL is slowly but surely heading into the new season. After the NFL Draft, the rookies are getting their first impressions of their new employers during the rookie minicamps.

The footballs are already flying through the air at the Seattle Seahawks. Right in the middle of it all: quarterback Jalen Milroe.

The third-round pick is to be carefully developed behind veterans Sam Darnold and Drew Lock. In an interview with the NFL Network, the youngster spoke about his first impressions.

Jalen Milroe: “I have to earn trust.”

The former Alabama quarterback wants to pick up a few tricks from the experienced quarterbacks while also providing competition.

“I have to earn the team’s trust. I want to learn and grow as a player so I can be the best quarterback I can be for my team,” Milroe said.

Milroe was particularly impressive at the NFL Combine, running the 40 yards in 4.37 seconds and underlining his athletic abilities. Last season, he threw for 2,844 yards, 16 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. As a runner, he gained 726 yards and 20 touchdowns.
