For Aaron Donkor, the dream of playing at home in the NFL’s Munich game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the Seattle Seahawks will not come true. His coach, however, has done everything he can to make it happen.

Munich – Aaron Donkor will not play in the NFL’s Munich game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the Seattle Seahawks.

Had it been up to head coach Pete Carroll, the coach would have called up the German defensive end from the practice squad to the 46-man playing squad.

“We even went all the way to the commissioner to get an exception for him,” Carroll said in an interview with ran.

Donkor takes up a spot with the Seattle Seahawks in the International Pathway Program and thus an additional spot on the practice squad. However, this prevents him from playing.

There is one consolation for Donkor. He is allowed to enter the Allianz Arena as a flag bearer.
