Is there a curious postponement coming? Apparently the Seattle Seahawks home game against the Arizona Cardinals could be postponed. The reason isn’t the NFL or either team, but a completely different sport.
Munich/Seattle – Originally, the Seattle Seahawks’ home game against the Arizona Cardinals in week six was scheduled for Sunday at 22:05 German time.
However, this kickoff time might not hold. The reason for this is the MLB team from Seattle, the Mariners. They are currently fighting for a place in the playoffs against the Houston Astros.
Mariners could cause scheduling problems
The Astros are currently 1-0 in the series. However, if the Mariners win one of the next two games, a fourth game will have to come up in the best-of-five series – and that would create a scheduling conflict.
Game four of the American League Division Series, or ALDS, would then take place on Sunday at 9:07 p.m. German time – an hour before the scheduled kickoff at Lumen Field, which is directly across from T-Mobile Park, the Mariners’ home. A logistically impossible conflict.
So, should the worst come to the worst, the kickoff of the Cardinals game in Seattle would be pushed back about an hour and a half. New time would be 11:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. local time.
