Niners running back Christian McCaffrey can make his mark in the NFL history books in the game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Christian McCaffrey can once again enter the record books on the eighth day of NFL play. The San Francisco 49ers running back needs exactly one touchdown to do it.
If the 27-year-old carries the ball into the end zone on Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals, he would set a record set by Lenny Moore in 1963.
The latter had scored a touchdown in 17 straight games from Oct. 27, 1963, to Dec. 13, 1964. “CMC” currently stands at 16.
McCaffrey last failed to score a touchdown in week twelve of last season against the New Orleans Saints.
Although the star running back is slightly banged up, he was able to score six points in the last game against the Minnesota Vikings. Nevertheless, the game was lost.
For the game against the Bengals, McCaffrey is considered fully fit again.
