The San Francisco 49ers feel they are at a disadvantage because Nick Bosa is not being called enough fouls by the referees. That’s why the franchise is even sending videos to the league to draw attention to the problem

Munich – Nick Bosa is having another strong season. After four games, the San Francisco 49ers defensive end already has six sacks to his credit. But according to head coach Kyle Shanahan, that number could well be higher if the 24-year-old wasn’t being held by the opposing offensive line so often.

“I couldn’t agree with you more,” Shanahan explained after a reporter asked him about the fact that Bosa seems to be held on many plays. According to the report, San Francisco even regularly sends videos to the league office to draw attention to the problem.

For Shanahan, Bosa has been disadvantaged for years: “It’s something I’ve seen a lot with him since he’s been here, going back to his first year in the Super Bowl. So it’s always been difficult. We submit everything every week. Sometimes they agree, sometimes they don’t.”

There’s not much more you can do than keep pointing it out to the league, the 42-year-old added: “You can only hope it gets better. “
