San Francisco 49ers: D-lineman steps up against former team Houston Texans

Defensive end Charles Omenihu of the San Francisco 49ers steps up against his former team, the Houston Texans. There is “no circus show” in San Francisco, Omenihu said.

San Francisco/Munich – D-lineman Charles Omenihu of the San Francisco 49ers is more than happy with his current team – and it shows.

In November, Omenihu was traded from the Houston Texans to the 49ers. “There’s no circus show here,” the defensive player told a media panel. The 49ers are “not an organisation dominated by egos.” Moreover, there is no power struggle between coach and general manager here, Omenihu said.

Conversely, this means: In Houston, egos and power struggles rule the roost!

The D-lineman feels more comfortable with the 49ers, although he plays fewer snaps there. With the Texans he was on the field for 50 per cent of the snaps, in San Francisco it is only 25 per cent. It’s “definitely, like a breath of fresh air,” Omenihu said of his move to California.

On Saturday night, Omenihu and the 49ers will face the Green Bay Packers
