New Orleans Saints quarterback has to leave the game against the Green Bay Packers early after a hard hit.
Bitter news for the Saints. Derek Carr remained visibly banged up after a hit by the Packers defence and had to be treated. A short time later, Carr was officially pulled out for the game to be examined further in the locker room.
The Saints led 17-0 at this point and were playing strong on both sides of the football. Last year’s starter Jameis Winston took over for Carr. The game turned around after that, giving the Packers an 18-17 win.
After the game, Head Coach Dennis Allen confirmed that Carr was taken to a hospital in the Green Bay area to have his shoulder examined. However, according to NFL Insider Insider Ian Rapoport, they are not only X-raying the shoulder, but also looking for possible internal injuries.
