Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was again the outstanding man. He not only threw for 217 yards and two touchdowns, but also ran for 77 yards and got into the end zone himself once. Philadelphia’s running game was very effective. Miles Sanders ran for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones, who was sacked seven times, struggled and only managed 169 passing yards and one touchdown.
Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers 16:14
The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered a setback early in the game as quarterback Kenny Pickett suffered a concussion and had to be replaced by Mitchell Trubisky. However, the Ravens did not fare much better. Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley (88 passing yards), filling in for the injured Lamar Jackson, also suffered an injury later, leaving undrafted rookie Anthony Brown (16 yards) to make his NFL debut.
Trubisky did throw passes for 267 yards and a touchdown. However, he also made three interceptions. The most striking player for Baltimore was J.K. Dobbins, who ran for 120 yards and a touchdown. The Ravens now stand at a record of 9-4, the Steelers at 5-8.
Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals 10-23
Deshaun Watson was unconvincing in his second game as quarterback of the Cleveland Browns. The playmaker completed 26 of his 42 passes for 267 yards and one touchdown and one interception. The running game did not provide any relief with only 71 yards. The Browns’ best player was Myles Garrett with two six tackles, two sacks, three quarterback hits and two passes defensed.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow recorded 239 passing yards, two touchdowns and one interception. Ja’Marr Chase was his most effective weapon with 119 receiving yards and a touchdown. Cincinnati has now won five straight games and stands at a record of 9-4, while the Browns are 5-8.
Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions 23:34
The Lions didn’t let the Minnesota Vikings stop them either, have now won five of their past six games and stand at a record of 6-7.German wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown was thrown to nine times and caught six passes for 68 yards. Quarterback Jared Goff turned in quite a game with 330 passing yards, three touchdown passes and no turnovers.
The same is true of Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins, who threw for 425 yards and two touchdowns. He particularly enjoyed serving Justin Jefferson, who finished with 223 receiving yards. The weak link was the running game, which managed only 22 yards. Minnesota stands at a record of 10-3.
Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys 23-27
The Houston Texans just missed a sensation. Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott didn’t get into the end zone until 41 seconds left in the game, giving Dallas their fourth straight win and now boasting a record of 10-3.
The man of the match was Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who threw for 386 yards and three touchdowns. His most effective weapon has been Evan Engram, who caught balls for 162 yards and two touchdowns. Titans passer Ryan Tannehill recorded 254 passing yards and two touchdowns, but also caused two turnovers. The same is true of running back Derrick Henry, who was otherwise a major factor with 121 rushing yards.
Cowboys playmaker Dak Prescott had an unusually hard time, threw for 284 yards and only one touchdown, and also threw two interceptions. Elliott ran for a total of 62 yards and a touchdown, Tony Pollard for 42 yards and a touchdown. The defence remained without a sack.
Texans quarterback Davis Mills threw for 175 yards but did not throw a touchdown pass. This was accomplished by the rotating Jeff Driskel. The Texans are the worst team in the NFL with a record of 1-11-1.
Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans 36:22
The Tennessee Titans are in a slump. In their home game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, they conceded their third loss in a row, so that their season record worsens to seven wins and six losses. Jacksonville, on the other hand, manage their fifth win in eight losses.
