Jason Kelce is ending his extraordinary NFL career.
It’s now official. The Philadelphia Eagles center is retiring after the playoff exit in the Wild Card round against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9:32).
The 36-year-old informed his teammates of his decision after becoming visibly emotional on the sideline.

Hall of Fame nominee Jason Kelce quits
After last season, Kelce extended his contract again with the goal of making the Super Bowl. The defeat in the final against the Kansas City Chiefs hurt too much.
Back then, he lost to his brother Travis Kelce from Kansas City in the “Kelce Bowl”.
The Eagles’ series of bankruptcies in recent weeks buried the idea of another SB appearance.
The six-time All-Pro is being touted as a future Hall of Famer, and the 2011 sixth-round pick played 13 years in the NFL.
