Philadelphia Eagles: A.J. Brown calls in to radio station over trade speculation and booth trouble

After trade rumors and speculation about trouble in the locker room, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown calls in to a radio station and speaks plainly.

A.J. Brown had obviously had enough. The Eagles receiver called into radio station “SportsRadio WIP” on Friday to clarify a few things.

Among other things, he stated regarding his future, “I don’t have a problem. I want to be here, it’s as simple as that. I love where I’m at, it’s that simple. Next question.” He continued: “I understand it’s a business, but I can tell you all that I want to be here.” Trade rumors had been swirling around the receiver recently.

Brown was on the air for about 20 minutes to get some things off his chest after being relatively quiet so far this offseason. Among other things, Brown ruled out disagreements between players in the locker room. “The locker room was fine. The players just didn’t do their job, that’s what it came down to.”

Philly had lost six of its last seven games in the regular season after starting the season with a 10-1 record – one of the biggest slumps in NFL history.

Brown has 194 catches for 2,952 yards and 18 touchdowns over the past two years with the Eagles – never has an Eagles receiver been better over two years.
