Quarterback Jameis Winston continues his career in the US professional football league NFL at the New Orleans Saints. The top pick in the 2015 draft, whose place as Tampa Bay Buccaneers playmaker was most recently taken by superstar Tom Brady, will receive a one-year contract. The club made the announcement.
Winston (26), who was tied to the Bucs until the end of last season, will move into the second tier for the first time in five years of NFL. In New Orleans he will be the replacement for veteran Drew Brees (41) and will replace Teddy Bridgewater (27), the new number one of the Carolina Panthers.
“I didn’t want to think about my ego or money, but about my family and my career,” Winston commented on the move. “He has a lot of talent and a great future ahead of him,” said Brees.
