Official: Cousins suffers torn Achilles tendon

Quarterback Kirk Cousins of the Minnesota Vikings has suffered a torn Achilles tendon as feared. This was confirmed by the franchise from the NFL professional football league one day after the 24:10 victory at the Green Bay Packers. With this, Cousins is likely to miss the rest of the season.

After Aaron Rodgers of the New York Jets, Cousins is the second veteran playmaker with this serious injury. The 35-year-old had left the field banged up against rival Green Bay, with rookie quarterback Jaren Hall filling in. Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon less than five minutes into his debut for the Jets in mid-September.
