Not even two months after his official retirement, superstar Tom Brady has announced a return for the new NFL season. He will continue to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Munich – Awesome news from the NFL.
As superstar Tom Brady announced via social media, he will return to the league for his 23rd season. The 44-year-old quarterback wants to continue playing for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after all.
“Over the last two months, I’ve realised that my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come eventually, but not now. I love my teammates and I love my supportive family. They make everything possible. I’m coming back to Tampa for my 23rd season. Unfinished business,” Brady wrote on Twitter.

This also makes it clear that NFL fans in Munich will most likely be able to see Brady make his guest appearance with the Bucs live at the Allianz Arena.
Bucs expected Brady decision
The Buccaneers themselves were clearly prepared for the signal caller’s decision. For example, General Manager Jason Licht said in a statement, “Head Coach Bruce Arians and I have had several conversations with Tom recently that led us to believe there was a realistic chance he might want to come back.”
He continued, “Tom is the greatest quarterback of all time and is still playing at a top level. With this decision, we now continue to rebuild our squad for another championship run.”
Head coach Arians also expressed his excitement, saying the team was “ecstatic” about the playmaker’s return.
Brady to visit CR7 this weekend
At the weekend, TB12 was a guest at Manchester United’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur (3-2) and had a quick chat with United’s superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. When Ronaldo asked him if he was now retired, Brady was a bit vague, but a day later he officially announced his comeback.
It was only at the beginning of February that Brady announced the end of his career after the play-off loss to the LA Rams (27:30). With seven Super Bowl wins, Brady is considered the best NFL player in history.
