Double joy for the Sanders family. In addition to quarterback Shedeur, his brother Shilo has also been signed by an NFL team.
An emotional weekend for the Sanders family.
After two days of disappointment, quarterback Shedeur Sanders was selected by the Cleveland Browns with the 144th pick on the third day of the 2025 NFL Draft.
And his brother also had reason to celebrate. According to NFL Media, safety Shilo Sanders was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent shortly after the draft.
The 25-year-old started his college career in South Carolina before following in the footsteps of his father, NFL legend Deion Sanders, and transferring first to Jackson State and later to the Colorado Buffaloes.
Shilo Sanders joins the Buccaneers
He played 21 games for the Buffaloes over two seasons, recording 137 tackles, three tackles for loss, five passes defended, and one interception.
In Tampa, Shilo Sanders will now have the opportunity to compete with and learn from renowned defensive backs such as Antoine Winfield Jr. and Jamel Dean.
