NFL: Super Bowl 2028 will likely be held in Atlanta

The venue for Super Bowl 2028 has apparently been decided. The NFL final for the Vince Lombardy Trophy is to be held at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

The venues for the next three Super Bowls have already been set. The NFL final of the current season will take place in New Orleans, in 2026 it will be in Santa Clara and in 2027 in Los Angeles.

As the “Sports Business Journal” has now reported, the league also has a clear preference for the arena in which the Vince Lombardy Trophy will be played in 2028.

This is said to be the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. If nothing surprising happens, the league will probably confirm this at a meeting next month.

It would be the fourth Super Bowl for Atlanta. The city hosted the NFL final for the first time in 1994, and the game was also played there six years later – but at the time it was still in the Georgia Dome.

In 2019, the Super Bowl between the New England Patriots and Los Angeles Rams (13:3) finally took place at the Atlanta Falcons’ home ground.
