NFL: Shedeur Sanders likely blacklisted – team owners reject quarterback in draft

Several franchise owners are said to have demanded that their general managers remove quarterback Shedeur Sanders from the draft board.

The saga surrounding Shedeur Sanders continues days after the NFL Draft.

The quarterback and son of NFL legend Deion Sanders was actually considered a potential first-round pick but then fell to the fifth round.

As former NFL pro and analyst Boomer Esiason now reports on radio station “WFAN,” this was partly due to several team owners.

“I’m telling you, and I know this after talking to three different personnel executives in the NFL this weekend, they didn’t even have him on their list. They took him off, and they took him off because the owner said, ‘Take him off, I don’t want this guy. I don’t want this privileged person on our team,’ and I can’t blame them,” Esiason revealed.

NFL Draft: Shedeur Sanders subjected to a nasty prank

A fact that Esiason, who played quarterback in the NFL for the Bengals, Jets, and Cardinals and won an MVP award, can relate to:

“When you listen to this kid talk before or during the combine about how he’s the right guy if you want a new culture in the locker room, that he can turn it around, he’s very confident. And I think that scares a lot of coaches and general managers in the league.”

Sanders was selected by the Cleveland Browns on the third day of the draft, 144th overall. Before that, Shedeur Sanders had to endure a nasty prank.
