NFL: Seattle Seahawks want to take action against season ticket holders

The Seattle Seahawks want to take action against fans who do not use their season tickets regularly.

The NFL franchise wants to take action against season ticket holders who own tickets and resell them purely for profit.

The team’s ticket policy states that while the Seahawks will continue to allow season ticket holders to sell tickets for individual games if they are unable to attend for any reason, repeated sales will no longer be tolerated.

According to this policy, ticket holders who have sold a majority of their tickets during a season will be contacted after the NFL season has ended.

They will then have the opportunity to explain themselves and state their position before those responsible decide whether the tickets in question will be reissued to those individuals.

In recent years, fewer and fewer Seahawks fans have been attending home games at Lumen Field, while the number of away fans has steadily increased. Traveling fan groups in particular have been vocal at times. In some cases, there was no longer any home advantage to speak of.
