As it does every year, EA Sports is releasing a new Madden title. The video game manufacturer has now unveiled Madden NFL 26 with a trailer – and promptly angered Rams player Kamren Curl.
With just a few minutes left in the fourth quarter, Saquon Barkley gets the ball in the divisional round. The Philadelphia Eagles running back rushes past several Los Angeles Rams defenders in a snowstorm and scores the game-winning touchdown.
It’s a defining scene from last season, which is also featured in the new trailer for the Madden NFL video game series. In the trailer, an animated Barkley also sprints down the field and shows off his skills.
Rams defender Kamren Curl also makes a brief guest appearance, whose digital counterpart gets thoroughly beaten by Barkley.
NFL: Kam Curl criticizes Madden trailer
The safety clearly didn’t enjoy the trailer and expressed his displeasure on “X.”
With a wink, he wrote: “I’m definitely not playing Madden this year.” He added a middle finger at the end of the message.
Kam Curl is officially boycotting Madden 26.
In the trailer, Saquon Barkley hits him with a nasty juke, recreating their playoff matchup.

NFL colleague Quandre Diggs found it amusing in the comments, to which Curl replied: “I’ve been playing the game my whole life and this is my first appearance ever in the trailer.”
