At the preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals (27:3), Simone Biles actually only wanted to support her husband Jonathan Owens, who the Chicago Bears signed to a two-year contract in March – which is why the gymnastics superstar’s jacket was also adorned with various black-and-white pictures of the safety.

The problem: Owens can still be seen in the jersey of his former team, the Green Bay Packers, in all of the pictures, and the logo of the “Green and Gold” also appeared several times. Naturally, the Bears fans didn’t like the logo of a rival in their stadium.

“Yeah, yeah, I get it, their guy played for the Packers and it’s an Owens jacket, but that’s just wrong,” commented one user on the ‘X’ platform.

“With all due respect, Simone Biles should throw that jacket in the trash as soon as possible,” wrote another user, who was shocked that she got into the stadium with the Packers logo: ”How did she get in with that?”

Biles had won three gold and one silver medal at the Olympic Games in Paris, Jonathan Owens had been granted five days off training to support his wife in her competitions.
