Munich – Bad news from Los Angeles. There, a fan of the San Francisco 49ers is in an induced coma after he was beaten by an opposing supporter on the sidelines of the NFC Championship Game against the L.A. Rams.
This was confirmed by the mayor of Inglewood.
At SoFi Stadium, the now-injured 40-year-old fan had mingled with a group of 49ers fans. From there, he pushed a man in a Rams jersey standing next to him for unknown reasons. An altercation ensued that lasted barely five seconds, during which the Rams supporter first pushed the 49ers fan back and then punched him in the mouth.

“It looked like a minor altercation that turned very bad,” Mayor James T. Butts Jr. told a news conference. The 49ers fan suffered multiple fractures to his face and was placed in an induced coma to prevent his brain from swelling from internal bleeding.
