The Pittsburgh Steelers have earned their seventh win of the season. They defeated the New York Giants 26-18 in the final game of the 8th matchday.

Russell Wilson also won his second game as the starting quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers in the NFL. Thanks to a clean performance, the Steelers defeated the New York Giants 26:18. The Steelers thus won their 22nd Monday game in a row.

Wilson completed 20 of his 28 passes for 278 yards and a touchdown. However, he fumbled in the fourth quarter.

The star of the evening, however, was Calvin Austin. The wide receiver not only caught three balls for 54 yards and a touchdown, he also returned a punt 73 yards for a touchdown. The top receiver was George Pickens with 74 receiving yards.

Pittsburgh was also able to rely on its running game: Najee Harris rushed for 114 yards on 19 attempts, plus 17 receiving yards. Jaylen Warren also ran for 44 rushing yards (13 receiving yards).

Tracy strong, Naber long

The Giants, on the other hand, were not as efficient on offense. Daniel Jones went without a touchdown this evening, completing only 24 of his 38 passes for 264 yards. The Giants went a long time without a turnover, but Jones fumbled against T.J. Watt just before the end. The 40-million-man threw away a potential game-winning drive near the end zone with an interception.

The Giants’ best player was rookie running back Tyrone Tracy. The fifth-round pick, who beat out Devin Singletary for the starting job, ran for a strong 145 yards and a touchdown (7.3 yards per carry). However, he injured himself on the penultimate drive and had to go to the locker room.

Darius Slayton stood out among the wide receivers. With just four catches, he gained 108 yards. Malik Nabers disappointed in the first three quarters with just 39 yards and two dropped balls. He finished with 72 yards.

With just two wins in eight games, the Giants are back near the bottom of the NFL after an interim performance high. The Steelers are at the top of the AFC North thanks to the Baltimore Ravens’ defeat.

New York will face the strong Washington Commanders in week nine, while the Steelers can look forward to a bye week before also meeting the Commanders in week ten.
