More and more NFL players are dropping out due to an infection with the Corona virus and missing their teams. To avoid such a scenario, the Philadelphia Eagles are now taking unusual steps – separating their quarterbacks around Jalen Hurts and Gardner Minshew.
Munich/Philadelphia – NFL teams have had to lament a high number of Corona-positive players being unavailable in important games in recent weeks.
An adjustment to Corona protocol is also on the table in order to have as few absences as possible on the final two game days of the Regular Season.
NFL: Philadelphia Eagles separate quarterbacks
Due to recent developments, the Philadelphia Eagles have taken additional protective measures.
Head coach Nick Sirianni announced at a press conference Monday that quarterbacks Jalen Hurts, Gardner Minshew and Reid Sinnett will hold meetings in separate rooms and only virtually to minimize the risk of contagion.

“I’ve talked to a couple of other head coaches and tried to figure out how they’re dealing with it. We all know we need as many players as possible to win this week. So what is the best option? We’re obviously talking to our doctors and trainers about it,” the 40-year-old said.
With a record of 8-7, the Eagles have a good chance of making the postseason, and a win in the divisional duel with the Washington football team would push the door wide open to the playoffs.
