If you embarrass yourself in training without an opponent, it will be even more complicated in the game. The New York Giants are making sure that people laugh at them.
The New York Giants are in the middle of a difficult NFL season. Two wins, 11 losses and a fourth-place finish in the NFC East after 13 games.
But the Giants are obviously struggling not only in the games. According to eyewitness reports, the New York offense made a fool of itself in training.
Before the game in week 15 against the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Tommy DeVito and the Giants’ pass receivers apparently couldn’t do anything right.
NFL quarterback situations: New Orleans Saints announce Carr replacement
As reported by on-site reporters Jordan Ranaan (“ESPN”) and Pat Leonard (“New York Daily News”), not a single one of 17 passes was completed during a red zone drill.
The problem: the drills were partially played without opponents. Although it should be mentioned that the training took place at around -1 degree Celsius and an icy wind, the Giants will not feel any different on Sunday at the home game against the Ravens.
DeVito starts against the Ravens
DeVito completed zero of four passes in an unopposed drill. The remaining 13 passes were then part of a drill in which each pass receiver had a one-on-one duel with a defender. All 13 pass attempts were incomplete.
“It was a combination of drops, overthrown passes, and defensive pressures,” Leonard wrote via “X.”
The Giants had a red-zone period of practice today outside in 30 degrees & 18 mph winds in which the offense went 0-for-17 on passes
0-4 vs. air (no defenders) & 0-for-13 in 1on1s vs defenders. A combo of drops, overthrows, defensive plays + 2 catches OB
Might have been one…

DeVito is still set to start against Baltimore. Drew Lock is out with a heel injury. DeVito’s backup will be Tim Boyle.
The Giants released their supposed franchise quarterback Daniel Jones at the end of November. There has been no turnaround since.
Just watched the Giants struggle badly at practice during a red-zone drill in the cold and heavy winds (32 mph). All 17 passes went incomplete.
Weather expected to be around 40 degrees with winds up to 11 mph on Sunday vs. Ravens.
