After the terrorist attack in New Orleans, Saints owner Gayle Benson shows her support.
After a hurricane hit the area around New Orleans in July, Saints owner Gayle Benson donated $1.25 million. These funds will now be made available to the victims of the terrorist attack and their families as immediate aid.
“In the wake of the tragic events on Bourbon Street this New Year’s Day, we are firmly committed to supporting the victims and their families,“ the businesswoman said on the team’s website.
”Through the Greater New Orleans Foundation’s disaster relief fund, we will provide vital assistance to those affected and ensure that they have the necessary resources at this difficult time.”
And further: “It is our shared responsibility to support our community in times of need, and I will continue to stand by New Orleans as we heal together.”
At least 14 people were killed in the terrorist attack in the US metropolis.
