NFL: Minnesota Vikings win seventh game in a row – Atlanta Falcons end losing streak

The Vikings celebrate an important division win at the end of the 15th NFL match day. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Falcons end their losing streak.

The Minnesota Vikings celebrated their seventh consecutive win at the end of the 15th NFL matchday.

The team, which has already qualified for the playoffs, defeated the Chicago Bears 30:12 and now shares the lead in the NFC North with the Detroit Lions, with an equal record of twelve wins and only two defeats.

In the race for the coveted number one seed in the conference, which would lead to a bye week in the first week of the playoffs, the Vikings are now tied with the Lions and the Philadelphia Eagles (all 12-2). Detroit still retains the top spot due to the tiebreak rule.

The Vikings left no doubt about their success in the divisional duel with the Bears at their home game, leading 13-0 at halftime after a touchdown from Justin Jefferson and two field goals.

The visitors from Chicago were able to add two field goals and a touchdown by Keenan Allen to the scoreboard in the third and fourth quarters, but Minnesota also found itself in the end zone twice, thanks to two one-yard runs by Aaron Jones and Cam Akers.

Vikings quarterback Sam Darnold completed 24 of 40 passes for a touchdown and an interception. His counterpart Caleb Williams extended his NFL rookie record to 286 consecutive passes without an interception. However, he did fumble the ball.

Falcons beat Raiders

Meanwhile, in the second Monday Night Game, the Atlanta Falcons secured a 15-9 road win over the Las Vegas Raiders, ending their four-game losing streak.

In the battle for the NFC South division title, Atlanta is currently in second place with a record of 7-7, behind the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-6).

Falcons quarterback Kirk Cousins threw his first touchdown pass in five weeks, a 30-yard strike to Drake London. However, he also threw an interception. Kicker Younghoe Koo scored the other points for his team.

The Raiders, who are no longer in the playoff race, tried a late comeback. Quarterback Desmond Ridder completed a touchdown pass to Ameer Abdullah with just under three minutes left in the game.

In the final seconds, Ridder then threw two more passes into the end zone, the second of which ended in an interception – his second of the evening.
