While the Los Angeles Rams turn around a crazy game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Dallas Cowboys miss a mega comeback in Week 3 against the Baltimore Ravens. Amon-Ra St. Brown plays a crucial role in the Detroit Lions’ victory, the Miami Dolphins go under.
San Francisco 49ers at Los Angeles Rams 24:27
Without their injured offensive stars Christian McCaffrey, Deebo Samuel and George Kittle, the San Francisco 49ers squandered a 21-7 lead in the third quarter against the Los Angeles Rams. For a long time, the 49ers looked like certain winners, but in the final quarter, the Rams, with quarterback Matthew Stafford (221 yards, one touchdown) outstanding in the final phase, turned the game around.
The Rams scored 13 points in the last six minutes of the game. First, kicker Joshua Karty scored, then Kyren Williams tied the game with a touchdown. In the end, it was kicker Karty again who scored with two seconds left on the clock to win an extremely exciting game.
The loss was especially bitter for 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (292 yards, three touchdowns, 0 interceptions), who, like receiver Jauan Jennings (175 yards, three touchdowns), had an outstanding game, but could not prevent the defeat.
Baltimore Ravens at Dallas Cowboys 28:25
A relief for the Baltimore Ravens! After two defeats at the start of the season, the franchise from Maryland managed their first win of the season in Dallas – but it was a hard-fought victory!
The Dallas Cowboys seemed to have no chance at all for long spells and were booed by their own fans at times. A comeback seemed out of the question, with the Cowboys trailing 6:28 at the start of the final quarter.
A touchdown from CeeDee Lamb then brought Dallas within 16 points, with Head Coach Mike McCarthy’s team suddenly back in it. After a successful onside kick, receiver Jalen Tolbert scored the next touchdown. But the two-point conversion failed, leaving the Cowboys still trailing by ten points with seven minutes left in the game.
Sure enough, KaVontae Turpin soon snatched another pass from quarterback Dak Prescott (379 yards, two touchdowns, 0 interceptions), and the Cowboys cut the deficit to three points with just under three minutes left on the clock.
However, the crazy comeback was not crowned, as the Ravens around quarterback Lamar Jackson (182 yards, one touchdown, 0 interceptions) held on for the narrow victory.

Detroit Lions at Arizona Cardinals 20:13
Amon-Ra St. Brown had his big moment in the second quarter: First, the German-American receiver for the Detroit Lions carried a pass from Jared Goff to the touchdown. A little later, he caught another pass from the quarterback, but then passed the ball backwards to Jahmyr Gibbs, who ran into the end zone for the next touchdown.
At halftime, the Lions led 20-10 against the Arizona Cardinals and had the game under control. There were no points at all for a long time in the third and fourth quarters before kicker Matt Prater brought the Cardinals back to one score against his former team with a field goal.
The Lions didn’t allow anything in the final 19 minutes, however, to secure their second win of the season.
Miami Dolphins at Seattle Seahawks 3:24
The Dolphins had a very difficult time in Seattle without quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion). Backup quarterback Skylar Thompson (167 yards, 0 touchdowns, 0 interceptions) was unable to replace Tagovailoa and was even replaced by Tim Boyle in the final quarter.
The Seahawks had little trouble against the harmless Dolphins, quarterback Geno Smith (289 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions) had an average performance to lead his team to victory.
The struggling Dolphins are now 1-2, while the Seahawks improved to 2-1.
Carolina Panthers at Las Vegas Raiders 36:22
After the Denver Broncos and the New York Giants were already able to celebrate in the early slot, the Carolina Panthers were also able to surprise with their first victory late in the evening. This was primarily due to quarterback Andy Dalton, who took over for the demoted Bryce Young with the Panthers and put in an outstanding performance.
“The Red Rifle” collected 319 passing yards, threw three touchdown passes and did not throw an interception. His counterpart Gardner Minshew (214 yards, one touchdown, one interception) was unable to keep up. The Raiders quarterback was replaced by Adam O’Connell in the final quarter, who managed another TD pass but was unable to turn the game around.
