Another quarterback has become a big earner in the NFL’s professional football league. Daniel Jones signed a four-year, $160 million contract after his fourth and best season ever for the New York Giants. With an average annual salary of 40 million dollars, the 25-year-old is seventh in the ranking of the best-earning players. The front-runner with 50 million dollars per year is quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is apparently facing a move from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets.

Jones was drafted ninth overall by the Giants in the 2019 draft. After three poor seasons, he improved significantly last season and led the four-time Super Bowl champions to the play-offs for the first time since 2016. There, after a surprising win against the Minnesota Vikings, the Giants failed to reach the quarter-finals against the eventual finalists Philadelphia Eagles.
