After a successful season, the Green Bay Packers are fired up for 2024, with quarterback Jordan Love setting his sights high
Last season was actually considered a transition year for the Green Bay Packers. After the departure of Aaron Rodgers, new quarterback Jordan Love and the young receivers were supposed to find their feet.
However, after some initial difficulties, they did so surprisingly quickly and well and the Cheeseheads became the youngest team in history to make the playoffs. After a demonstration in a 48:32 win against the Dallas Cowboys, the franchise only narrowly lost 21:24 to the San Francisco 49ers.
The anticipation for next season is correspondingly high – and so is the self-confidence.
“It’s a great feeling,” playmaker Love enthused on “The Pivot Podcast”: “We’re all very hungry for next year. The confidence is there from top to bottom. The organization believes it’s the perfect time to have a chance to win the Super Bowl this year. “
A realization that occurred in conversations after the loss to the 49ers. “The conversations were, ‘Work harder, try to find ways to get better, because next year we’re going to get it done,'” Love said.
Love important factor for the Packers
“There’s no more ‘we’re a young team’, there’s no more ‘what if’. People know what it’s all about now. Of course the other teams want to beat us now, but we’re hungry,” added the 25-year-old.
The fact that the quarterback and his self-confidence are a not insignificant reason for the optimistic forecasts for the future was recently demonstrated by the team’s two star newcomers.
Running back Josh Jacobs and safety Xavier McKinney both stated after their commitments that Love was an important factor in their signing with Wisconsin.
